Biography: Faye Dunaway is an American actress who came to fame in the late 1960s with her role in the film Bonnie and Clyde (1967), for which she received her first Academy Award nomination. She followed this with critically acclaimed performances Chinatown (1974) and Network (1976), with the latter earning her an Academy Award for Best Actress.
Dunaway received numerous further awards and accolades over her career, including an Emmy and a Golden Globe. Her performances spanned genres and styles, extending also to the stage, where she has acted in plays such as "A Man for All Seasons" (1961) and "Master Class" (1996).
During the filming of A Place for Lovers (1968), she fell in love with co-star Marcello Mastroianni. Despite the intensity of their romance, and the fact that years later both recalled it as their pinnacle, the two ultimately separated as Mastroianni was married. Dunaway later married the photographer Terry O'Neill, and the two adopted a son.
