BSkyBs Sky Vision Inks Development Deal with Ugly Brother Studios

BSkyB‘s international distribution arm Sky Vision has signed a development deal with Ugly Brother Studios, the company announced today.

L.A.-based shingle Ugly Brother was founded by twin brothers Mike and Tim Duffy last year. Its current projects include MTV’s “House of Food” along with a three-project development deal with Spike. Under the deal with Sky Vision, Ugly Brother and the distribution branch work together to develop, produce and distribute unscripted entertainment aimed at both Stateside and international markets.

“This deal gives both parties the opportunity to create exciting and commercially relevant programming on an international scale,” said Jane Millichip, managing director at Sky Vision. “Our aim is to deliver the very best in programming and formats developed in conjunction with Ugly Brother for international broadcasters.”

Before forming Ugly Brother, Mike Duffy served as exec veep at T Group Prods. and managing director of branded content at Electus, while Tim Duffy helped spearhead original series for Spike TV.
