Biography: Bob Barker is an American television game show host, best known for hosting "The Price Is Right" from 1972 to 2007 as well as "Truth or Consequences" from 1956 to 1975.

Prior to his television career, Barker served in the United States Navy during World War II and worked part-time in radio during his college years.

He began his public media career with "The Bob Barker Show", which ran for six years from 1950.
